Black Fox Woodland Produce is father and son team, David and James Spratt. Set in 70 acres of land at Awbridge, Hampshire we use our 20 acres of grassland and 50 acres of woodland to produce woodland products using traditional methods and new technology, a special burner, an Exeter Retort. Our steel burner, weighs one and a half tonnes, and was the first of its kind in Hampshire. The design won the makers the Devon “Low Carbon Innovative Business” award in 2012.
We are members of Hampshire Coppice Craftsmens Group, a group was set up in 2003 with the aim of supporting the work of coppice, underwood and associated craftsmen in Hampshire, as well as raising awareness of the benefits and opportunities they provide for woodlands and their wildlife, the landscape, rural employment and sustainable development.
